ABOUT THIS WORKSHOP
This workshop is designed for children to kick-start their creative writing skills. Most kids have wild imaginations. Let them put those into good use by converting them into a skill they can use in school or in their future lives.
WHY JOIN THIS WORKSHOP?
Creative Writing is a skill many people struggle with. Yet, it is one of the most important skills to master. When you are able to articulate your thoughts on paper, you improve accessibility between your thoughts and your ability to express verbally.
Children who get to do this also experience lower levels of anxiety as they discover a productive outlet to express their feelings and emotions. Students who have joined this program in the past report better overall performance in school as a result of being used to reading and writing lengthily.
Our programs can both be done in-center or through online. Online programs are conducted via the Zoom app, and reading and writing collaboration will be done via Google Classroom. All Speedtalk Programs can be conducted in Small Group classes, or a more intensive one-on-one classes with their instructor.
Age Group: 8 to 12 years old

WHAT WILL CHILDREN LEARN FROM THIS WORKSHOP?
Children will be required to read and write extensively during and after every session of this workshop. During the live sessions, they will learn valuable skills on writing which they can apply not just in creative writing but in writing, in general.
The program culminates with students having written their own short story, from conceptualization, to mock drafting, to editing, to finally delivering their own stories.
