“Art is a place for children to learn to trust their ideas, themselves and to explore what is possible.”
– Maryann F. Kohl
ABOUT THIS COURSE
For parents and educators, the countless benefits of encouraging creativity in early childhood education are already well documented and irrefutable. But do children know why they need to do arts & crafts? What is it for??
The benefits of art for kids are many and include problem-solving abilities, creativity, literacy, fine & gross motor skills, connection, and understanding.
In these difficult times, however, the benefits of engaging children in creative activities become all the more important. Art can help children process and express their thoughts and emotions – and because children are still discouraged from leaving the house – it provides them a venue where they can socialize with other kids.
